Leslie Fierro is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Claremont Graduate University, in the Division of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences. She is currently an active member of the American Evaluation Association, where she serves as the Co Editor-In-Chief of New Directions for Evaluation and Co-Chair of the Evaluation Policy Topical Interest Group. Her early research examined the strengths and gaps that exist in the academic preparation of current day evaluators and potential future evaluators. Leslie’s current research focuses on means for building the evaluation capacity of nations. As part of this work, she is engaging with her students on examining the potential influence of evaluation policy in the design, conduct, and use of program evaluations within the government sector. Leslie also works collaboratively with non-profit organizations and government agencies, to develop long-term strategies for implementing monitoring and evaluation activities that are capable of providing timely, informative, and actionable insights about organization and program performance.
