A one-week evaluation institute at the University of Alberta. Designed as an interactive, experiential, and case-based curricular course for undergraduates, graduates, and community stakeholders. UEval aims to foster sustainable evaluation capacity within the community.

The Summer Institute brings together university students and community-based practitioners to learn together about evaluation. We combine lectures, case studies and group work to introduce the concepts of participatory evaluation for improved planning and delivery.

Click to Learn MoreA space for non-profit sector professionals to come together and collaboratively deepen understandings of evaluation, reflective practice, and critical learning. Over six sessions, participants can test and apply evaluation concepts and tools in 'real-life' settings.
Click to Learn MoreA collaborative, flexible, hands-on evaluation learning opportunity offered in collaboration with the Alberta Mentoring Partnership. Over 6 months, mentoring organizations participate in synchronous group learning sessions, as well as individual and group coaching sessions to plan and conduct meaningful and useful evaluations of their programs. The structure, content, and time commitment of the course is flexible based on organizational needs, but previous offerings have involved approximately 27 hours of group training. Networking and co-learning between organizations is also emphasized to provide valuable and contextual knowledge and resources specific to the mentoring sector. Learners receive a certificate of completion. Our current offering concluded in May 2023! Please check back for future offerings.

This 90-minute webinar follows a case study approach that allows participants to gain a better understanding of strategic learning and its importance.
